Pointeq was established in 1990 as Ultra Office Automation CC. Historically the company focused on the general supply of hardware, software and PC training as well as maintenance and repair of hardware. In 1995 the strategic focus of the company was changed to the retail market. In November 2000 the company name was changed to Pointeq Technologies (Pty) Ltd. The Pointeq Trademark is registered and they as such brand their products with this name. Pointeq manufactures specialised retail products and also imports a comprehensive range of its own products from international manufacturers.

Printers
Workplace : They can supply you with all major brands for your printing requirements (Laser, DeskJet, Line printers, Plotters etc).
Point of Sale : They supply thermal printers, dot matrix, slip printers, back office printers, barcode printers, portable bar-coding devices for retail & warehouses.
Scanners

You can add any peripherals like printers, cash drawers, touch screens & EFT devices. The Cobra is a system which reduces cost of ownership, ease of maintenance, support and upgradeability etc.

Pointeq Teqnologies, authorised dealers of WWS5 POS Software solutions. Pointeq's WWS5 POS Software features integrated POS, inventory control, Purchase Orders, CRM and back office accounting. Designed for the needs of independent retailers, their unique system helps you to run your business rather than just report on it.
Services
- Installations : A total amount of ± 15000 terminals are installed in South Africa. The worldwide lane for their terminal exceeds 14000000 units. As far as Scanners and Printers are concerned, literally millions of units have been installed worldwide.
- Commissioning & Configuration : Pointeq is setting up and configuring all systems at their Headquarters. All equipment are staged & checked by them and signed off. This process would be discussed and in collaboration with the customer to ensure that the desired standards are kept to/achieved.
- Support : Pointeq would offer an attractive warranty on all products and an onsite warranty could be negotiated through the service company of choice.
- Help Desk : Pointeq can offer a 24x7x365 Help Desk for Contract customers.
- African Support : They can also offer you support into various African countries. Their personnel are well trained & understand the conditions and sometimes harsh environments they have to operate in.
