Worldwide Plotting with Fed-ex Kinko’s
TUKAcad 2007 is now equipped with the ability to quickly send plot data to any Fed-ex/Kinko’s in your area, making it simple for small businesses and students to get their patterns in paper form. For large manufacturers who need paper plots, but have retailers in other countries, TUKATECH has partnered with Fed Ex to install large-format plotters at Fed Ex’s main Asia distribution center. This means that a patternmaker in the US can send their plot data to Subic Bay and have a rolled paper plot delivered by fed-ex to their manufacturer within 24 hours, saving 5-7 days in shipping time and substantial cost.

Built-in Email
To make it easier on patternmakers, TUKAcad 2007 now features an integrated ability to email pattern data. A file is automatically attached – the user simply needs to tell the computer who is receiving the file and add a description, and off it goes.

E-fit Simulator Integration
Their CAD software works smoothly with their latest release, the e-fit simulator by TUKA. This software enables the user to pre-visualize patterns as completed garments, draped on a moving, walking body, before any real-life sample is cut and time/fabric is spent. The “virtual sample” then can be emailed to partners and/or clients for approval, or to communicate design ideas, at a fraction of the time and cost of a real-life fit session.

New Functionality
They have incorporated many new features to help manufacturers become more efficient in their pattern design and marker making software, such as yield per bundle information, easy copying of layouts to different sizes, an easy-to-use block fuse feature for markers, and smart annotation that understands half pieces and back-sides. Pattern cards are also now digitally represented and travel along with pattern data.
