MPI Systems Inc. was incorporated in 1986 as Manufacturing Productivity Incorporated. Originally, the company was a manufacturing engineering consultancy with clients such as Black and Decker, Channel, Sony, Estee Lauder and Several fine Jewelry manufacturers such as Andin International.
Many of their earlier engineering assignments involved precious metal and jewelry engineering projects. This included several domestic and international jewelry facility designs, and development of jewelry casting, polishing, electroforming, and plating processes. As such, MPI was uniquely positioned to service the jewelry industry.
As a direct result of their many extensive manufacturing audits, they began to offer custom systems design and development to their clients where off the shelf software solutions were inadequate. ShopControlPro(r) was developed following several successful implementations of custom jewelry systems.
When several high end jewelry retailers approached them to build a jewelry retail system fir them they stepped up to the challenge and now have a retail module for SCP. Following that MPI-Jeweler was introduced. This system adds jewelry specific exclusively. Their software is in daily use worldwide.
